Position Profile
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate education and training relevant to the clinical practice of the midwifery cohort to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide comprehensive orientation and development support for newly qualified and junior midwives, as well as other maternity care staff, to ensure seamless integration into the team.
  • Collaborate with Regional Nurse Educators and the Clinical Nurse/Midwife Manager to design and deliver targeted education programs that address specific needs and gaps in knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with essential competencies through effective documentation and record-keeping of education and training activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Extensive clinical experience in midwifery practice, with a strong focus on adult education and training facilitation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire others, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing training programs within a healthcare setting, with a focus on digital health platforms to enhance learning and patient care.
