Clinical Education Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced midwife to assume a leadership role in our multidisciplinary team as a staff development midwife. As part of this position, you will plan, implement, and evaluate education and training relevant to the clinical practice of the midwifery cohort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive needs analyses to assess the educational requirements of midwives, nurses, and assistants within the ward/unit.
- Provide evidence-based nursing care while adhering to the standards of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Deliver orientation and development support for newly qualified and junior midwives, as well as other maternity care staff.
- Collaborate with Regional Nurse Educators and the Clinical Nurse/Midwife Manager to develop and deliver targeted education programs.
- Ensure compliance with essential competencies through effective documentation and record-keeping of education and training activities.
Ideal Candidate:
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Extensive clinical experience in midwifery practice.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire others.
- Proven track record in adult education and training facilitation.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in digital health platforms to enhance learning and patient care.
