Laundry Support Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated Laundry Support Professional to join our team in a part-time capacity.

  • The role will involve attending to laundry duties, ensuring the facility has adequate fresh linen and supplies available, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

This position requires flexibility and willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks in different departments in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a similar role, able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles, and possess strong organisational and time management skills.

About this Role

This is an opportunity for someone who is proactive, flexible, and able to show initiative. The successful candidate will be required to work cooperatively with all departments within the facility, adhere to Infection Prevention and Control principles and procedures, and follow Work Health and Safety requirements.

The General Service Department covers cleaning, kitchen, and laundry services. Staff may be required to train and work in all areas as needed by the facility.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Attending to laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storage of linen and resident clothes
  • Ensuring the facility has adequate fresh linen and supplies available
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  • Working cooperatively with all departments within the facility
  • Adhering to Work Health and Safety requirements
  • FOLLOWING Infection Prevention and Control principles and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks in different departments in a fast-paced environment
  • Have experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills
  • Show initiative and be proactive
  • Able to work cooperatively with all departments within the facility
  • Able to adhere to Infection Prevention and Control principles and procedures
