Drill and Blast Engineer Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining drill and blast operations in the Mining team.

This key role requires excellent stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, solid underground mining experience, and a practical understanding of underground drainage, power, air, water, ventilation, and backfill techniques.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in underground metalliferous mining is essential.
  • Tech-savvy individuals with expertise in mine scheduling and planning will be highly regarded.
  • Practical underground experience is also well-regarded.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering is mandatory.
  • Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC) is an absolute necessity.
  • A valid manual driver's license is required.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Deswik solutions are expected.

The ideal candidate will work on an 8/6 roster, either driving into or flying out from designated locations.
