About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Engineer to join our team at Medibank Private Limited. As a key member of our cross-functional Squad, you will play a critical role in understanding our customer's problems and creatively solving concepts to take to market quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full end-to-end SDLC across iOS App Development, collaborating with the team to help solve customer problems through deeply understanding the technical capabilities of the platform.
  • Work across the digital and venture teams to assess system requirements and specifications, identifying and addressing any potential issues prior to implementation.
  • Design technical solutions of assigned technology solutions for initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to troubleshoot problems, share knowledge, perform code reviews and process improvement reviews.
  • Create and update application documentation to ensure efficient support and assess the impact of future change requests.
  • Enable the procedures for reporting on the progress of systems development projects, taking action to deal with exceptions, problems and unforeseen events in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of current Information Security standards and ensure all activities comply with the standards.

About You

  • Relevant industry experience in a similar role using Swift for iOS app development.
  • Experience with highly modular architecture and understanding of design patterns.
  • Usage of modern Swift features and keen to use new modern practices.
  • Experience working in an agile team utilising Scrum or Kanban.
  • Good understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery and building high quality solutions.
  • Any experience with UIKit/SwiftUI & RESTful API consumption.
  • Experienced working in an autonomous team environment.
