We are seeking a skilled Senior iOS Software Engineer to spearhead our iOS app development efforts at Medibank. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our mobile applications, leveraging your expertise in Swift and iOS architecture to drive innovation and excellence.

About the Opportunity

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work closely with our cross-functional squad to understand customer pain points and develop creative solutions that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full end-to-end software development life cycle for iOS app development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and solve complex technical problems, leveraging your expertise in iOS architecture and design patterns.
  • Work closely with the digital and venture teams to assess system requirements and specifications, identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Design and implement technical solutions for initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge-sharing initiatives, code reviews, and process improvement reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of application documentation, enabling efficient support and future change requests.
  • Maintain awareness of current Information Security standards and ensure all activities comply with the standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant industry experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Swift and iOS app development.
  • Experience with highly modular architecture and design patterns, including UIKit and SwiftUI.
  • Proficiency in modern Swift features and a willingness to adopt new practices.
  • Experience working in an agile team environment, utilizing Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Good understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Any experience with RESTful API consumption and autonomous team environments is a plus.
