Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at the Department of Health, Tasmania. As a Speech Pathologist - Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to clients with acquired neurological conditions and progressive neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement treatment programs for clients referred to the Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU), ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with clients, carers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of rehabilitation programs, ensuring they are client-centered and evidence-based.
Team Environment

You will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team, working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Dietitians, Social Workers, Rehabilitation Nurses, and Allied Health Assistants. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services that meet the needs of our clients.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology accredited by Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current Driver's Licence (desirable).
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $71,441 - $107,878 (pro-rata per annum), plus 11.5% superannuation contribution. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including salary packaging and professional development opportunities.
