Job Title: Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist

Join our team at the Royal Hobart Hospital as a Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist in the newly established ENT Speech Pathology team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Pathologist to lead and drive our ENT Speech Pathology service. As a Clinical Lead, you will oversee and coordinate the service, working closely with ENT specialists to enhance patient outcomes, reduce wait times, and optimize services for patients with voice, swallowing, and upper airway issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coordinate, and continually optimize our ENT Speech Pathology service in collaboration with the Senior ENT Speech Pathologist.
  • Apply your expertise in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS), Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES), Nasendoscopy, and Videostroboscopy.
  • Mentor and inspire your peers, junior staff, and Master's students from the University of Tasmania, contributing to the next generation of talented Speech Pathologists.
  • Collaborate on service development initiatives while managing a Speech Pathology leadership portfolio.

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Full member of Speech Pathology Australia.
