Project Metallurgist Position

We are seeking a self-driven project metallurgist to contribute to a strong safety culture based on transparent communication and continuous improvement within the metallurgy teams.
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in metallurgical engineering or related disciplines, with experience in minerals processing preferably in project or plant metallurgist roles.
A clearly demonstrated commitment to safety is essential, along with previous experience in safety improvements and ability to autonomously conduct metallurgical test work.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement and innovation within the metallurgical team
- Develop strong relationships with metallurgical, operational and fixed plant maintenance teams
- Design and implement operational improvement projects to increase plant safety, throughput, recovery and quality
- Facilitating plant surveys and subsequent work scopes
- Coordinating external test work programmes with partner and vendor laboratories
- Tertiary qualifications in metallurgical engineering or related disciplines
- Experience in minerals processing, preferably in project or plant metallurgist roles
- Clearly demonstrated commitment to safety, previous experience in safety improvements and ability to autonomously conduct metallurgical test work
