Financial accounting is a critical component of our organization, and we are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Employee Entitlements & Insurance team, you will be responsible for the financial accounting of employee provisions, workers compensation, public liability, and general insurance.

About This Role:
  • You will review, investigate, and provide timely insights on Business Unit P&L and associated balance sheet accounts related to employee provisions
  • Perform reconciliations with clear descriptions of outstanding items, supporting documentation, and action plans for clearance
  • Ensure that financial controls are in place and reviewed regularly to comply with accounting policies and standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification, or working towards it, with 5+ years of relevant experience (retail or large corporate experience an advantage)
  • Expertise in reconciling complex accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions
  • A deep understanding and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
