Applications close at 11:59pm AEST, Monday 15 September 2025.The RoleAs the Chief Financial Officer, you will be accountable for leading ASIC's Finance function which is responsible for:Providing strategic advice on complex financial matters to a diverse range of stakeholdersDriving long-term financial strategy and supporting groups across the businessOverseeing financial operations including ASIC's unclaimed money responsibilitiesLeading the statutory financial reporting and financial framework functions which includes preparing consolidated year-end financial statements and work papersThe preparation of ASIC's annual budgetYou will promote a high-performance culture, drive financial compliance, and partner with senior leaders to achieve business outcomes.
You will work collaboratively with business planning and performance reporting team to improve ASIC's reporting framework and deliver insights that support ASIC's work.Team contextThe Chief Financial Officer is part of the Enterprise Services Group which provides core enabling services that support the achievement of ASIC's strategic objectives.
The Finance team provides trusted and timely advice and services to enable ASIC to make smart decisions on the efficient use of public resources and operate efficiently and effectively.About YouTo be successful in this challenging and rewarding role, you will have the demonstrated ability to lead, support and influence large, high performing teams in a dynamic and complex environment.
It is anticipated you will have considerable experience in the direct management of large teams and be able to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
You will have a proven track record operating at a senior executive level, having managed a complex finance function within the public sector.
