Ecological Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Ecological Consultant to join our team in Albury, Australia. The successful candidate will lead and deliver ecological assessments, environmental approvals, and contribute to conservation planning, providing expert advice on projects in New South Wales and Victoria.

The role involves:

  • Designing and leading delivery of ecological survey programs and impact assessment tailored to client needs.
  • Preparing high-quality technical reports, including ecological impact assessment, vegetation mapping, and offsets advice and strategy.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Providing expert advice on state and Commonwealth biodiversity legislation.
  • Supporting junior staff in fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Liaising with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with client and regulator needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in ecology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ecological consulting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and NSW policy framework.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A current and valid driver's license.
  • You must have the right to work in Australia to apply for this job.
