Job Summary

The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Academic Leader to lead the Sydney Clinical School. As a key member of the School of Medicine and Psychology, the successful candidate will play a critical role in the development and achievement of the School's strategic goals within the Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAN) and Adventist Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Sydney Clinical School in achieving its strategic goals, including the provision of excellent medical education and fostering an environment where research and scholarship can flourish.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the School's clinical research profile and partnerships with Sydney-based clinical partners.
  • Collaborate with the Director, School of Medicine and Psychology, and other stakeholders to advance the School's mission and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to academic and clinical staff, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ANU, SAN, and other clinical partners.
Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience in academic or clinical settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong research and academic background, with a demonstrated ability to attract funding and publish in reputable journals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals and objectives.
