Maritime Structural Design Lead

Opportunity Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maritime Structural Design Lead to join our National Team in Australia.

You will be involved in the design and planning of large-scale maritime facilities for various industries, including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability projects.

The role requires significant experience in structural design, reinforced concrete and steel in the marine environment, and designing, evaluating, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your technical expertise to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support.
  • Project manage and/or design manage large maritime projects or teams within multidisciplinary projects.
  • Work with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector to develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Apply knowledge of Australian and international maritime design codes and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with complex maritime projects.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and work efficiently to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer status or ability to obtain chartership within an agreed timeframe.
  • Significant experience working with structural analysis software (SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica).
