Job Title: Strategic Risk Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Credit Risk Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Business & Corporate Banking Financial Risk team, you will play a central part in delivering strategic credit risk outcomes across the nCino platform and broader Tribe initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of nCino squads, ensuring delivery of key credit risk priorities in line with business objectives.
  • Provide expert input on credit policy and process across both Consumer and Business Lending.
  • Identify credit-related risks in projects and processes, ensuring these are documented, escalated, and mitigated effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Build and Run My Business Tribe to embed controls and deliver process improvements.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, risk awareness, and capability uplift within the team and wider business.
  • Support the Head of Financial Risk in delivering key initiatives, including the enhancement of credit risk frameworks and operational effectiveness.
  • Influence decision-makers and drive a strong culture of risk and control in line with regulatory and internal expectations.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management practices, particularly in SME, Rural, or Commercial banking.
  • Deep understanding of credit policies (Consumer and Business Lending).
  • Demonstrated experience influencing stakeholders and challenging the status quo to enhance processes and reduce risk.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • 3-5+ years of banking experience with a focus on credit risk or lending, ideally with experience in risk-rated loan origination and management.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
  • Passion for building capability in others and fostering a continuous learning and improvement culture.
