We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Strategic Security Advisor.

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the executive team and driving key priorities across the branch.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and coordinating complex project activities to ensure successful outcomes
  • Preparing and coordinating secretariat support for multi-agency security working groups to facilitate effective collaboration
  • Maintaining event-specific strategic and project documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Supporting the development of complex briefs, committee papers, Cabinet and Ministerial papers, and correspondence to meet stakeholder needs
Requirements:
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to engage with stakeholders and teams
  • A sound understanding of risk management principles and policies to inform decision-making
  • The ability to problem solve using judgment when managing risk to achieve successful outcomes
  • The ability to provide accurate, consistent, timely, and appropriate advice to stakeholders
  • The ability to identify, analyze, and synthesize data from various sources to inform decision-making
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities under tight timelines to deliver results
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Risk management and/or security risk management and/or project management training qualifications to enhance skills and knowledge
