Geospatial Developer Position

As a geospatial developer, you will be responsible for creating and customizing innovative solutions using spatial data and Python programming. The role involves developing and delivering high-quality tools within a Scaled Agile delivery framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions for complex geospatial projects.
  • Develop and maintain robust spatial analysis models and algorithms using Python.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to understand requirements and design effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans and test strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Python with advanced libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Experience with GIS software and spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Spatialite).
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS and its application in geospatial problem-solving.
  • 5+ years of experience in Python development with a strong focus on spatial analysis.
  • Good understanding of IronPython and ActiveMQ.
  • GIT, CI/CD, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker experience is desirable.
  • Prior experience with AWS technologies (e.g., Lambda) is advantageous.
  • Ability to update and maintain test suites using PyTest.
  • Working knowledge of Agile lifecycle management tools like JIRA/Confluence.
  • Engineering bachelor's or master's degree level or equivalent.
Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of network design exchange formats (GML, MapInfo) and network data analysis is an added advantage.
  • SAFe certification is preferred.
