Key Role Summary

This senior leadership position involves leading and guiding the team in developing and implementing strategic health, safety, and environment initiatives across various operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to site teams, Area Managers, and other stakeholders in executing HSE systems, strategies, and plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Health and Safety Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate or Diploma in Health and Safety.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in a HSE role within mining or a related industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: High level of understanding of surface drilling principles and practices.
  • Investigation Skills: Competent in facilitating ICAM investigations.
  • Professional Development: Completed or undertaking Safety Futures Advanced Safety Professionals Program.
  • Membership: Member of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (strongly encouraged).
  • Risk Management: High degree of understanding of risk management principles and ability to facilitate risk assessments.
  • Research Skills: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of safety models and theories based on current research and operational knowledge.
  • Citizenship: Rights to work in Australia.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
