Overview

HSE Manager – Perth (Offshore Drilling Projects). Are you passionate about driving health, safety, and environmental excellence in world-class offshore operations? Our client, a global leader in offshore drilling, is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to deliver expert guidance and strengthen HSE performance across their regional operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, supporting operations management, HSE Leads, and Rig HSE Advisors. You will oversee compliance, audits, and safety initiatives while ensuring alignment with corporate HSE standards and regional regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and support HSE Leads and Rig HSE Advisors across regional operations
  • Lead and coordinate audits, compliance, and medical support activities
  • Represent our client in meetings with regulators, customers, and senior management
  • Support the roll-out of corporate HSE alerts, advisories, and improvement initiatives
  • Research and share HSE best practices to promote awareness and performance improvement
  • Provide subject matter expertise in HSE management systems
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in health and safety or any related field
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the offshore drilling industry. Operational experience is preferred, though candidates without prior HSE experience are still considered
  • Extensive HSE experience within the oil & gas or offshore drilling industry
  • Must hold relevant regulatory qualifications (e.g., per Petroleum Safety Authority), have valid medical/vaccination certificates, and be proficient in English and Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and influence HSE culture across diverse teams
  • Must hold full Australian working rights
