Job Title: Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team at Collins Transport Group Pty Ltd (Collins Adelaide), a leading logistics company in South Australia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy. You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service and promote a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine and transmission problems.
  • Work with our parts department to obtain necessary parts and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate in Automotive or Heavy Vehicle Repair.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
What We Offer:
