Job Title: Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team at McNaught's Transport Pty Ltd, a leading freight company in NSW.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing trucks as per repair order instructions, promoting customer satisfaction, and overseeing the work of any apprentice technicians assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform work as per repair order instructions
  • Advise of any additional work required to the workshop foreman
  • Document all work performed, including cause and correction, and recommend any work not carried out during service and repair
  • Ensure customer vehicles are left in the same condition as received, including cleanliness and adjustments
  • Supervise apprentice technicians and ensure they are working safely and efficiently
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Attend dealership and service department meetings and online training as requested
  • Keep workshop area neat and clean and account for all dealership-owned tools
Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate
  • Drivers' Licenses equivalent to the role, including car, light duty, truck, and agriculture
  • Technical knowledge as per qualification specifications
  • Customer service focused, committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels
  • Communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others
  • Teamwork and time management/organization skills
