Senior Contaminated Land Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Scientist to lead our Contaminated Land team in Perth, Australia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering strategic solutions to clients facing environmental management challenges.
About the RoleThis position involves overseeing and supervising a range of investigations, including soil, vapour, surface water, groundwater assessments and drilling programs. You will also be responsible for preparing tailored fee proposals and engaging with clients and internal disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems.
You will need to have strong knowledge of NEPM and contaminated land provisions within Western Australia, as well as excellent communication and report writing skills. A collaborative mindset and a sense of ownership are essential for this role.
- Deliver preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, prepare site management plans, remediation action plans and other reports for external and internal clients.
- Lead and supervise a range of investigations, including soil, vapour, surface water, groundwater assessments and drilling programs.
- Prepare cost-effective, tailored fee proposals.
- Initiate, plan, lead and execute contaminated land and groundwater projects from start to finish.
- Engage with clients and internal disciplinary teams to determine innovative and pragmatic solutions to complex environmental problems.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Strong knowledge of NEPM and contaminated land provisions within Western Australia.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
