Senior Environmental Scientist, Contaminated Land – Aurecon, Perth, Western Australia, Australia
Aurecon is a design, engineering and advisory company delivering innovative solutions across the built environment. The role is based in our Perth office and offers diverse, challenging work in contaminated land projects across Western Australia and Australia.
What you'll do- Plan sampling design and coordinate field programs.
- Lead field programs implementing soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, including drilling supervision, test pitting and groundwater monitoring well installation.
- Provide high quality data gap assessments and contaminated land investigations in accordance with ASC NEPM requirements.
- Develop reports to a high technical and editorial standard and collaborate with the team to meet client expectations.
- Provide proposal and project management support to the contaminated land team.
- A degree in environmental engineering or science disciplines.
- Relevant experience in undertaking contaminated land and/or groundwater investigations.
- A strong professional work ethic and commitment to health and safety for yourself, your team, subcontractors and clients.
- Detailed understanding of the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and National Environment Protection Measures, and other current and emerging National and Western Australian legislation, standards and guidelines for contaminated land.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A current driver's license.
