Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist to lead our Contaminated Land team in Perth, Western Australia.

This role is based in our office and offers flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home options and staggered hours.

As an Environmental Scientist, you will:

  • Deliver preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, prepare site management plans, remediation action plans, and other reports for external and internal clients.
  • Conduct a range of investigations, including soil, vapour, surface water, groundwater assessments, and drilling programs.
  • Initiate, plan, lead, and execute contaminated land and groundwater projects from start to finish.
  • Liaise with technical and subject matter experts.
  • Analyse data and prepare clear and concise technical reports.
  • Support the development and coordination of tailored proposals and tender documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology, or Geology.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in contaminated land with exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations.
  • Experience in site supervision, managing site investigations, and various sampling methods, including soil and groundwater.
  • Sound knowledge of NEPM and contaminated land provisions within WA.
  • A well-developed data assessment and report writing skillset.
  • A valid/current driver's licence and the ability to travel to sites for field work.
