Job Description

This position will play a key role in advancing outstanding nursing education and research at national and international level. As a Nursing Professor/Discipline Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development, delivery, and enhancement of high-quality nursing education for the Faculty.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deliver, and enhance high-quality nursing education for the Faculty.
  • Foster strong research partnerships and advance the reputation of UNSW through interdisciplinary research in health systems and nursing, ensuring alignment with national priorities workforce needs, and UNSW's Progress for All strategy.
Requirements:
  • A PhD in Nursing or related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
  • Evidence of academic excellence in nursing education and research with a national/international profile.
  • Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
  • Experience with curriculum accreditation and alignment with NMBA and TEQSA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development, and delivery of courses and programs at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry or work-integrated learning.
  • Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
