Job Summary

">

We're seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Engineer to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd. This role involves managing critical systems, ensuring high availability, cost management, risk assessment, and metric reporting for our data centers.

Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern to ensure seamless operations.">
  • Undertake and support management of routine maintenance and emergency service for various critical systems, including switch-gear, generators, UPS systems, and cooling equipment.">
  • Installation of new rack capacity and provisioning of power/cooling.">
  • On-site management of contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.">
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.">
  • Generate change management requests and incident management tickets for all facility-related events and assist in resolving infrastructure engineering and services issues.">
  • Collaborate with data center IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate day-to-day operations, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.">
  • Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability, as well as assist in the design implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new data center facilities.">

About the Role

This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, including DRUPS, transformers, generators, switch-gear, and cooling equipment. Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based applications is also essential.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in facilities management, maintaining a data center or other critical space facility.">
  • Experience with physical security protocols and adherence to local legislation.">
  • A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers.">
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and web browser-based applications.">

Salary Range

">

$120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
