Description:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Scheduler to coordinate the movement of coal from mine to market. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with operations, rail, port, and customer teams to ensure efficient scheduling, compliance with contractual obligations, and timely delivery to customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly coal logistics schedules.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, rail operators, and port terminals to ensure effective coordination and alignment of movements with production and sales commitments.
  • Monitor coal flows to ensure contractual and operational requirements are met.
  • Respond to logistical changes and disruptions, reforecasting and adapting schedules as required.
  • Provide regular reporting and performance analysis to management and customers.
  • Be on call 24/7 for logistics-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail, strong business acumen, and ability to build consultative relationships with stakeholders.

About You:

You will ideally have tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or any other relevant formal qualification coupled with a minimum 2 years working experience. You will also possess the ability to work, both independently and as part of a team. You will have a high level of attention to detail, strong business acumen and the ability to build consultative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally.
