Role Overview:
As a member of our Market Specialists team, you will enhance our Sales division by providing expert insights in the commodities sector. Your daily responsibilities will include consulting with high-level decision-makers, facilitating the closure of sales agreements, and offering critical input that shapes our service and product development. Representing our brand at industry events and through various media channels, you will embody our core values. Our diverse team includes experts from various sectors, including buy-side and sell-side professionals, as well as market and industry specialists. Your primary objective will be to elevate our clients' experiences, drive sales, and provide invaluable insights to our sales team and product developers. Additionally, you will demonstrate your market expertise by contributing to publications and participating in speaking engagements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your extensive market knowledge, trend awareness, and technical skills to identify and seize revenue opportunities.
  • Act as a consultative advisor to clients, addressing their challenges with our innovative solutions.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and its implications for our clients and services.
  • Influence product direction through your thought leadership and innovative ideas, fostering relationships between key decision-makers and our clientele.
  • Design and implement a strategic roadmap aligned with market insights, product objectives, and organizational goals, while self-monitoring progress and outcomes.
  • Engage actively in projects that advance departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Explore and initiate additional avenues for impact, such as mentorship, training, campaign management, and product development participation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Financial Services or FinTech.
  • At least 5 years in commodities sales, trading, or research.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-level client discussions within the last 5 years.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional communication skills for credible client interactions and solution promotion.
  • Strong business acumen for informed decision-making and tangible commercial impact.
  • Collaborative and business-minded, capable of contributing to both team and company-wide projects in a flat organizational structure.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Australia and New Zealand.
  • Proficient presentation, training, and communication skills in English.
  • Evidence of consistent professional advancement within an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background.
