Our client is a reputable Pathology service provider with a national presence in the Australian market. They have a central laboratory in Darlinghurst and 25 clinics across metro Sydney and regional NSW.
About the Position
We are seeking a casual Pathology Collector to join our dedicated team to work at clinics across Sydney. This role involves working nights, with shifts and days changing with client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting blood and other samples from patients
- ECG's and Holter monitors
- Processing of Pathology Specimens
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clerical duties and basic IT skills
- High-level communication skills with colleagues and patients
- Ability to provide dedication to patient care
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Comply with Work Health and Safety
Requirements
- Experience working in a hospital setting doing ward rounds essential
- Eligible to work within Australia - Sponsorship is not available
- Possess a current driver's licence, WWC Check & Police Clearance
- Obtained a Cert 3 in Pathology Collection
- A clear and patient communicator
- Hands on venepuncture experience is mandatory for a minimum of 6 months unsupervised not including placement hours
- Have a positive attitude
- Have a passion for Pathology Collection
- Have a flexible approach to work and availability, be prepared to be deployed at different locations and be flexible to work across the week
