Language Trainer for Aboriginal Communities

About TAFE SA's Education and Skills Training Program
TAFE SA ensures all South Australian students have access to quality education and skills training across regional and metropolitan locations.

We are seeking an experienced Language Trainer to join our program. This position requires travel on unsealed roads to remote Aboriginal homeland communities, where you will deliver culturally sensitive language training to adult learners.

As a successful applicant, you will possess expertise in delivering language, literacy and numeracy training to Indigenous and/or English as a Second Language students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs to adult learners.
  • Provide culturally sensitive support to Aboriginal students.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to achieve program outcomes.

The successful candidate is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants without a WWCC must apply at the Department of Human Services (DHS).
