System Engineering Role

As a system engineer, you will be responsible for delivering innovative engineering and technology solutions to make lives safe, secure, sustainable, and affordable. Our team helps organisations deliver projects from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and minimising technical risks to projects using proven systems engineering approaches throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leading verification and validation efforts to ensure user needs are captured and met through design and related activities.
  • Engagement and close coordination with project leadership and stakeholders, including design, construction, software, environmental, and sustainability subject matter experts, to ensure technical compliance and support safety case submissions.
  • Facilitating workshops to identify risks and controls to enhance systems safety, RAM, human factors implementation in design and delivery.
  • Generation of technical management plans, systems architecture, configuration and change management processes, and supporting integration and interfacing with external projects and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship and/or eligibility to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance is essential.
  • Bachelor of engineering/science degree is required.
  • Experience within regulated industries/frameworks, such as defence, transport, nuclear, pharmaceuticals, is desirable.
  • Systems engineering knowledge and experience are desirable.
  • System safety and assurance experience are desirable.
  • Professional body membership, such as Engineers Australia or INCOSE/SESA, is highly regarded.
  • Experienced in the application of systems engineering tools, such as DOORS or MBSE tools, is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communications, client management/stakeholder engagement skills are highly regarded.
