Our organization is seeking a seasoned Heritage Advisor to lead our cultural heritage projects from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated project management experience and be able to build strong relationships with Traditional Owners.

Key responsibilities include preparing reports such as CHMPs, CHPs, survey reports, salvage reports, and due diligence assessments. The Heritage Advisor will also supervise archaeological field surveys and excavations, and coordinate the repatriation of cultural heritage material.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess 5+ years' experience delivering large-scale projects, 5+ years of work experience with Archaeology, accreditation as a Heritage Advisor, and a Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology (minimum Honours level).

You will also need to have proven ability to consult and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, expertise in cultural heritage legislation, including the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and Heritage Act 2017, and strong technical writing and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. GIS experience is highly desirable.
