Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our marketing team as an eCommerce Specialist. This role involves managing the visual merchandising of our product range on our websites, improving navigation and discoverability of products we sell. The successful candidate will work closely with our Purchasing team, developing a deep understanding of our product categories through market research and analyzing data to create an optimal shopping experience for our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in a relevant field, such as marketing or communications, and experience in online merchandising, digital marketing, website layouts, category management, or CX functions. They will be passionate about understanding consumer behavior and improving customer experience, highly analytical, and proficient in web analytics tools like Google Analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing online visual merchandising, building knowledge of categories, researching product specification requirements, working closely with the Purchasing team, performing ongoing maintenance and updates on site, conducting customer and competitor research, analyzing visitor browsing, purchasing behavior, and customer journeys across multiple channels, devices, and touchpoints, and supporting data analysis to drive business and inform product strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications or similar)
  • Experienced in, or have been exposed to, Online Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Website Layouts, Category Management or CX functions; preferably in a Retail or eCommerce environment
  • Passionate about understanding consumer behaviour and improving customer experience
  • Highly analytical and ready to delve into data - you'll be working in the detail and making recommendations on what you find
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) is preferred
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities – you'll be managing a high volume of tasks simultaneously without missing a beat
  • A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we're talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE - and we will test your capabilities)
