Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager

World Vision Australia is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our People Partnerships department, you will be responsible for providing contemporary HS&W leadership, governance, and support to our staff. This role is critical in advancing and enabling a unified culture of safety, wellbeing, and operational excellence, ensuring World Vision provides quality staff care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective WHS policies and procedures to prevent incidents and promote a culture of safety.
- Manage all aspects of incident investigation, injury management, and workers compensation.
- Design and deliver employee experiences that provide contemporary care and support, in partnership with health and wellbeing providers.
- Ensure safety assurance and compliance, including support for work-related travel.
- Build and maintain internal relationships to influence effective Safety and Security outcomes and culture.
- Drive a high-performance culture through coaching and development.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and experience managing projects and change in systems and organisational culture.
- Extensive experience in conducting investigations into work, health, and safety matters and strong technical knowledge of safety and security management principles and practices.
- Proven experience in developing effective Workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in work, health, and safety (or a related discipline) and equivalent industry experience.
