About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team at Kilmore District Hospital as a Grade 3 Physiotherapist.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the organisation, implementation, and supervision of physiotherapy care. This includes assessing and managing patients on the GEM and Acute Inpatients wards, which covers general medicine, surgical, and maternity patients.

You will have a leading role in ensuring excellence in clinical care, promoting quality, educating staff and students, and developing programs. This opportunity suits an experienced Physiotherapist with sound clinical skills in Gerontology and general acute inpatient physiotherapy.

This is a full-time position, covering maternity leave for 12 months from November 2024. You will work 80 hours per fortnight with ADOs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level physiotherapy care to patients on the GEM and Acute Inpatients wards
  • Develop and implement physiotherapy programs
  • SUPervise physiotherapy students and junior staff
  • Contribute to the development of clinical care policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience in physiotherapy, preferably in Gerontology and acute settings
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
