Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Australia. As a dynamic and influential figure, you will play a pivotal role in driving business success through effective leadership and strategic decision-making.

Main Responsibilities
  • Foster a safety-focused culture that aligns with our company values and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead ongoing improvements in team member health, environmental practices, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead by example with honest and transparent communication, inspiring a high-performing team across various functions.
  • Promote an environment of recognition, accountability, and professional growth, motivating employees to achieve their best.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling team to coordinate production processes, ensure timely delivery of high-quality products, and meet performance targets.
  • Identify and execute data-driven improvements to maximize productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Implement systems to ensure employees understand individual, departmental, and organizational objectives.
  • Partner with the Supply Chain team to align raw material availability and inventory with production schedules.
Key Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in paperboard manufacturing, with strong expertise in offset printing and folding carton processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing Heidelberg or equivalent high-speed printing systems and related equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with experience managing within ISO-certified operations.
