About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing expert contract administration support to our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration: Provide high-level contract administration support to our projects, including contract management, procurement, and project close-out.
  • Commercial Planning: Develop and implement commercial plans and strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Procurement: Manage the procurement process for specialist equipment and services, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Project Forecasting: Develop and manage internal project forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Reporting: Prepare and manage internal and external monthly reporting activities, including variance analysis and contract compliance.
  • Contract Variations: Manage contract variations and proposals in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to project delivery.
  • Commercial Compliance: Ensure ongoing commercial and contractual compliance, providing expert advice and support to the project team.
  • Scope of Works: Understand the scope of works and identify opportunities and risks to the project, providing recommendations for mitigation and resolution.
  • Project Administration: Establish and maintain project administration processes, including document control, RFIs, submittals, and transmittals.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, variations, and contract notices, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Project Close-Out: Administer deeds of release and final accounts at project close-out, ensuring timely and accurate completion of project activities.
About You
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in commercial management, construction management, quantity surveying, or project management.
  • Industry Experience: Civil/structural work experience, building experience, or marine experience.
  • Commercial Experience: Previous experience in a similar commercial role, with a strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management principles.
  • Skills: Excellent time management skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and ability to manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills, with the ability to present information to a range of audiences.
