Health Safety and Environmental Specialist

The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) department is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. As an HSE specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining this safety standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular health and safety audits to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks and improve overall workplace safety.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide training and education to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on health and safety metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience.
- Proven knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations and ISO/Management Systems standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
