Child Therapist Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Child Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with other professionals to provide high-quality therapy services to children and families.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Child Therapist to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic interventions to promote positive outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing the needs of children and families through comprehensive evaluations and assessments
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child
  • Providing evidence-based therapy interventions to promote positive behavioral change and social-emotional development
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports to meet regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Full registration as a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children and adolescents
  • Strong skills in therapy, intervention planning, and psychological assessment for 5-18 year olds
  • Excellent report writing skills (for NDIS, schools, and other referral pathways)
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A current Working With Children Check
