We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join our high-performing Australia and New Zealand legal team on a 12-month fixed term contract. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic and solutions-focused legal advice to our business partners, driving commercial and value-adding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality legal advice on a variety of commercial and business issues, building trust and confidence with our stakeholders.
- Proactively support the organization's ethics and compliance objectives, identifying and addressing developments in areas of law and regulation that affect our business.
- Actively participate in projects and initiatives that enable growth while mitigating legal and compliance risk.
- Collaborate with our business partners to develop and implement commercial and business strategies, leveraging your expertise in corporate/commercial law, competition, consumer, IP, or employment law/industrial relations.
- 6+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally including a highly regarded private practice environment.
- Excellent academic record and strong legal and commercial business acumen.
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business.
- Ability to think and act strategically, with a focus on delivering commercial and value-adding outcomes.
