Job Description:

We are seeking a Gambling Counsellor to join our team at Be. Recruitment.

This is a part-time role, working 4 days per week with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.

The counsellor will deliver person-centred and flexible therapeutic counselling support to individuals, families, and significant others affected by gambling harm.

This role will be based in Bankstown and involves delivering an evidence-based therapeutic counselling service, raising community awareness of problem gambling issues through promotional and educational activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide face-to-face, phone, and digital counselling services in line with funding requirements.
  • Deliver psycho-educational and gambling-related group programs.
  • Provide outreach support to reduce barriers to service access.
  • Collaborate with local services to achieve better cross-referral pathways.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent in counselling or psychology.
  • Relevant membership of ACA, PACFA, AHPRA.
  • Current NSW driver's license is essential.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
