Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy vehicles (engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems).
  • Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to meet strict safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the transport team to schedule maintenance and prioritize repairs, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to remain at the forefront of your field.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  1. A relevant trade qualification, such as a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
  2. At least 2-3 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, with hands-on experience and a proven track record.
  3. Technical skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  4. A valid driver's license, preferably with a heavy vehicle endorsement, and additional certifications like an HR license are a plus.
