Role Overview

The VET and Pathways Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting young people to access meaningful vocational learning, school-based apprenticeships, and traineeships, as well as post-school transition opportunities.

This position is responsible for overseeing the strategic development and delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs and young people's transition pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate VET programs and pathways to ensure seamless student transition.
  • Support young people in accessing vocational learning and transition opportunities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to enhance career outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, schools, and government agencies to facilitate successful transitions.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to student transition and VET programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, parents, and staff on VET programs and pathways.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Teaching Degree qualification or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in coordinating VET, SBATs, or senior secondary pathways programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in education, training, or career development of young people.
  • Extensive knowledge of post-school pathways including further education, training, and employment options.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with a range of people.
  • Experience in supporting young people with disability and/or neurodivergence.
