About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operator to join our team at Air Liquide Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Air Separation Units (ASUs) in Kwinana, WA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the ASU plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with Air Liquide Australia and local regulatory standards.
  • Meet customer requirements for products, including purity, pressure, and flow, within safety limitations.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and reporting faults.
  • Perform plant startups, shutdowns, and trouble-shooting as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Load and unload liquid storage tanks and bulk tankers.
  • Perform permitting duties with contracted and in-house maintenance staff.
  • Complete daily plant logs and raise any issues with the Plant Manager.
  • Maintain site security by monitoring and controlling access to the site.
Requirements
  • Previous experience with Air Separation Unit operations is highly advantageous.
  • Mechanical trade or plant operator certification, or an engineering degree, is also considered advantageous.
  • Experience with DeltaV and/or Yokogawa DCS systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations, including dangerous goods and OHS.
  • Process operation experience and proven fault-finding skills are essential.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of PLC controls, analysers, and plant instrumentation are also required.
  • Experience with safe work permitting processes and ability to understand process operations and mechanical equipment are necessary.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 continuous shift roster is essential.
