Job Title: Digital Technology Governance Lead

The role of Digital Technology Governance Lead is pivotal in driving the effective and compliant use of technology across the department. The position reports to the Chief Information Officer, overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of governance frameworks, policies, and standards that ensure data quality, integrity, and security.

This key role requires strategic thinking and strong leadership skills to drive initiatives, enhance IT systems and processes, and promote a culture of compliance. Collaboration with the Business Intelligence Team and business units is essential in establishing data management standards and practices that reflect contemporary trends and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive technology governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Overseeing the governance of cloud environments, ensuring that cloud resources are managed effectively, securely, and in compliance with organisational policies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to establish data management standards and practices that reflect contemporary trends and industry best practice.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of governance strategies with business objectives and priorities.
  • Driving strategic initiatives and providing guidance to enhance the performance and continuous improvement of IT systems and processes while promoting a culture of compliance.

Requirements include a National Police Check and qualifications in Information Technology or Information Systems, with at least five years' experience in ICT complex program management and project governance desirable.
