Job Description:

We are seeking a Digital Technology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for delivering a connected mining operation through the successful definition, selection, design, implementation and support of technology related to mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining, selecting, designing, implementing and supporting technology related to mining operations.
  • Providing advice and guidance to Mining, Digital & Operational Readiness teams.
  • Coordinating and planning resources with Digital teams to support mining fleet commissioning.
  • Leading change management and training initiatives.
  • Owning mining and digital interfaces.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in integrated mining technology or digital/technology experience in mining operations.
  • Detailed understanding of open pit mining operations from grade control to delivery at the ROM/crusher.
  • Appreciation for downstream processing challenges and opportunities.
  • Understanding of data management and use of time series & unstructured data sets.
  • Experience with selection, implementation and support of mining operation systems.
  • Cyber security practices and conformance to dynamically set requirements.
  • Ability to develop technical specifications and documentation.
  • Practical experience working with different technologies, including WiFi, LTE, Rajant, 802.11, CANBUS, ModBUS, Radio, Mission Critical Push to Talk over LTE.
  • Onboard mobile equipment digital hardware knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
