About CQUniversity

The Finance Division at CQUniversity is in search of a skilled professional to become a part of the Research Finance team within the Corporate Budget department. This team is focused on delivering analytical and advisory financial services to both internal and external stakeholders associated with the University’s extensive research initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities, outstanding communication skills, and experience in finance management support roles.

In this position, you will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the financial components of research grants within CQUniversity's research initiatives. Your duties will encompass providing financial analysis and reporting to guide decision-making, aiding in the formulation of University budgets and forecasts, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and funding regulations.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and finance policy principles.
  • A relevant degree accompanied by experience; or substantial experience with specialized knowledge in technical and administrative areas.
  • Experience in finance or budget management support roles, including the preparation of various documentation.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in business support software, including advanced spreadsheet functionalities, word processing, electronic calendars, and email within large corporate finance systems.
  • Experience in researching and analyzing diverse financial scenarios, statements, and reports; delivering precise and informative reports, and developing strategies to address identified issues.
