Housekeeping Operations Manager Role

We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Housekeeping Operations Manager to lead our dynamic housekeeping team.

This key role is based in Melbourne, with opportunities for both Full-Time and Permanent Part-Time positions.

You'll be at the heart of our operations, guiding the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service while ensuring cleanliness and compliance in every corner of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Assisting with on-site training and onboarding of new team members;
  • Induction Process: Managing initial introductions to site, ensuring all relevant induction documentation is completed and that colleagues are trained in site policies and procedures;
  • Mentorship: Conducting performance reviews and mentoring the team for success;
  • Cleaning Standards: Managing the cleanliness of hotel rooms and corridors, ensuring high standards;
  • Amenity Management: Ensuring sufficient stock of amenities is available to the team;
  • Staffing Planning: Forecasting required staffing levels and rostering the team accordingly;
  • Daily Briefings: Preparing the day ahead by allocating/assigning rooms to the Attendant team, carrying out daily briefings and assigning checklists to the Public Area staff and Housepersons;
  • Paperwork Management: Finalizing paperwork from the day, filing completed checklists, following up on outstanding job orders and concluding room counts and timesheets from the team;
  • Communication: Communicating at a high level with the Front Office and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth operation;
  • Review and Reporting: Reviewing daily reports, finalizing paperwork, and ensuring tasks are completed;

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a housekeeping site supervisor or supervisory role;
  • Passion for Excellence: Passionate about Housekeeping and building strong engaged teams;
  • Work Ethic: High level of work ethic and integrity;
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to guide others in this respect;
  • Success in Hospitality: Demonstrated success in a fast-paced hospitality role;
