A career opportunity exists for a skilled Medical Scientist to work in Haematology Laboratory at the Royal Children's Hospital.
About the Role- This is a fixed term, full-time position that would enhance your skills and provide you with a depth of knowledge of laboratory services required at the hospital.
- The role involves rotating shifts and on-call while working a 9-day fortnight.
- Perform routine and specialized Haematology and Transfusion diagnostic laboratory tests, including validation and reporting, after appropriate training.
- Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting on automated and manual instrumentation and equipment within Haematology and Transfusion.
- Participate in a rotational roster, including early mornings, afternoons, and evening shifts.
- Adhere to standard operating techniques and procedures documented in laboratory manuals as required by the International Quality System Standard (ISO).
- Take part in Departmental continuing education, ongoing competency programs, and external quality assurance programs.
- You will gain valuable experience in laboratory medicine and develop your skills in haematology and transfusion science.
- You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.
