Position Overview

As a Solutions Architect for Sales Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise and support to our sales teams. Your extensive experience in the industry will be crucial in developing tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering technical assistance to sales personnel to enhance the sales process.
  • Possessing a minimum of 13 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to establish strategic pricing models.
  • Engaging in quarterly strategy planning sessions to contribute to the overall business strategy and pipeline.
  • Interfacing directly with clients and business partners to create customized solutions.
  • Overseeing multiple intricate sales projects simultaneously.
  • Staying informed about the latest trends in server, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Translating complex technological concepts related to Hybrid Cloud, Data Management, Edge Infrastructure, and AI into business-relevant discussions.

Senior Responsibilities

In your senior role, you will also be responsible for:

  1. Engaging with prospective clients to comprehend their technical requirements and business challenges.
  2. Working alongside internal technical teams to design and present bespoke solutions tailored to client needs.
  3. Conducting product demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions to highlight Lenovo's data center offerings.
  4. Creating and presenting proposals, technical designs, and statements of work to secure new business opportunities.
  5. Providing ongoing technical support and guidance to sales teams, channel partners, and clients throughout the sales process.
  6. Building and nurturing relationships with technical decision-makers to understand their evolving needs and identify new opportunities.
  7. Keeping abreast of industry advancements, technologies, and competitive products to offer informed recommendations.
  8. Continuously enhancing your technical knowledge of Lenovo's infrastructure solutions and their applications to better serve clients.

Candidate Profile

We seek an individual who can make independent and sound technical sales decisions with confidence. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in enterprise server/storage technical sales and/or delivery.
  • Expertise in designing and configuring x86 server/storage/network products.
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer-centric solutions.
  • Familiarity with key workloads and major software environments.
  • A demonstrated sales record with a genuine commitment to exceptional service delivery.
  • Strong competitive knowledge of the server and storage market.
  • A passion for customer service.
  • Enjoyment in collaborating with partners and pre-sales colleagues globally.
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and develop structured presentations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with superior presentation and listening abilities.
  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft, Nutanix, NetApp products, containers, and network infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience in areas such as Linux, VMware, Microsoft, and NetApp ONtap.
  • An understanding of core security concerns within typical infrastructures.
  • The capability to share knowledge with a highly skilled audience.
  • A desire to stay at the forefront of technology and address real-world customer challenges.
  • A preference for a fast-paced environment that supports customer business transformations and technology adoption.
  • A willingness to travel, typically around 25%, primarily within the domestic market.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
  • Experience in infrastructure management.
